HOOKED ON STATE STREET RESTAURANT: A Seafood Gem in Clarks Summit

Been wanting to go here for a year and finally made it out. Food was great and the family enjoyed all there plates. Service was good. Place is small maybe 6 tables plus the bar. They do have outdoor seating as well but we went in the winter. Atmosphere was nice matched the vibes. I would definitely go back for for great seafood.

This place reminds me of the flavors you’d find on the Colombian Caribbean coast. It’s BYOB, which is always a plus. The service is great, and the food is good, but I’d tweak a few things. I’d leave the corn out of the crab and lobster chowder, serve the tostones on the side with the ceviche so they don’t get soggy, and add a bit more coconut flavor to the rice. Overall, a solid spot!

I've wanted to try this place for a long time and was finally able to today. I have heard and read so many good things about it. We were blown away, fun beach like atmosphere is very cute and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is sensational, portions are generous. I'm Hooked on Hooked! We had the lobster roll, fried lobster tacos and the calamari, all were fresh, prepared perfectly and delicious.

My first time here. Definitely, not what I expected. The food was absolutely the best sushi I ever had !! I will definitely go back. Highly recommend this amazing gem !

A nice, cozy atmosphere of a restaurant. The food was one of the best we have had in a long time. Mignon w/ Smokey lobster mashed potatoes & crab crusted grouper w/saffron rice.Server was pleasant & in good spirits. Will definitely be back. Also purchased chowder to bring home. No way we would have been able to eat it all. I did bring home some of my grouper & rice. BYOB

Fantastic seafood in NEPA. Josh’s ceviche was a huge portion of fresh and delicious lobster clams shrimp grouper and anything else you could want. The crispy shrimp tacos were huge with perfectly breaded shrimp and great sauce. The Blackened tuna hoke bowl was also a huge portion. The tuna was seared perfectly with delicious sushi rice. The key lime pie was one of the best I’ve ever had. Sweet not too tart with great crust.

Unique, quirky, distinct…Hooked is a one of a kind here in NEPA. The food is AMAZING. You can tell that the owners are proud to serve what they are offering on the menu. Yes, it’s a little more expensive that other locations nearby but the quality and uniqueness of the dishes that are offered is apparent. BYOB. - They do have strawberry daiquiris and piña colada, mixed…you just bring the rum. Key lime pie —- don’t miss out…even if you share a slice. It is wonderful. I highly recommend Hooked…keep in mind that it is first come, first serve. They appear to do a lot of takeout as well…but stop in sometime, you will not be disappointed. I’ll be back.

Walking into this restaurant you are immediately transported to the beach! The ambiance is both energizing and relaxing at the same time. Remember your bottle of wine, beer, or liquor because this gem is byob. You will want to sit, sip and enjoy while digging into the most delicious and well presented dishes. Our family loves coming to this inviting and friendly restaurant and we will continue to do so on a regular basis.
